PATCH TESTING


Patch Tests are carried out to detect delayed allergic reactions, which can take several days to develop.

 

Method

1. Select the following areas for testing:

a. Inner crease of your elbow or,
b. Side of your jaw (recommended for breakout prone or sensitive skin.
2. Wash and dry area of skin to be tested.

3. Apply a small amount of product to the area you are testing.

4. Leave product on for 24 hours.

5. Wash off and wait a further 24 hours.

a. If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, a reaction such as reddening, burning, itching etc will occur after application.

b. If you feel any irritation, wash product off immediately with cool water.
c. You can also apply milk or Aloe Vera to sooth the area.
6. If no irritation is observed in 24 hours, you can begin to use the product in your routine.
